Thing is the CVE list is now out of date. We are starting to receive a number of reports from users with running systems not patched after a recent update. 0patch is still widely useful and there are a few more good reasons to use.

0patch, an open source, free vulnerability scanner that constantly monitors computers for previously undetected holes, has been nominated for this year’s Best Open Source Project at the 12th annual Flattr Awards.
The announcement, which will be published July 22 on the site of open source service Flattr, says that „0patch is a free, open source script designed to monitor computers for patches that are not installed. A compilation of fixes for a wide array of software is uploaded to a remote server daily.“
The nomination is based on detailed user feedback from over 250,000 downloads in just over 18 months.
„Most users don’t want to have to worry about security updates, and they definitely don’t want to deal with them,“ said Mike Williams, a Flattr user who nominated the project, „And in fact, with 0patch, they don’t have to.“
Williams used it to discover a gaping vulnerability in Cisco, a vulnerability that was only patched in version 7.3.4 of the router’s IOS, and another that was not addressed in a piece of open source software he downloaded.
Along with his nomination, Williams submitted a link to the application and said that „I encourage anyone with any concerns about security to download and run 0patch.“

A new freeware application has been released to help keep your Windows PC safe from hacker attacks.
Dubbed 0patch, the free piece of software is the brainchild of Carl Rigney and is

0day began as a tiny, side project. Its developer, Luca Martignetti (he/him), had a very specific dream. 0day aimed to be a tool so reliable that users would become more responsible for their computers‘ security.
There are two basic methods of resolving software vulnerabilities (CVEs) within a computer system: using a vulnerability scanner or directly patching the application to prevent it from exploiting a flaw. If you have the former, you risk running into problems such as stuck reboots and failures to update. If you have the latter, you risk a system compromise that could expose your system to harm. The value of a product like 0patch is that it’s a middle ground that offers a decent enough job that users won’t have to choose between these two options.
0day does just that. Despite coming under the assumption that it may catch a few false alarms, 0patch does a pretty good job in filtering out malicious software and security threats, even on non-supported or end-of-life software such as Windows 7.
It consists of four parts. First, it automatically downloads and installs the latest patches and updates. It then scans your system for any known vulnerabilities. Once it finds any known flaws, it will automatically apply the most suitable patch in order to prevent any attacks that may be an issue and save you from rebooting your computer or blocking security updates. A dashboard shows you everything that’s going on.
That said, 0day is not perfect. The process of installing the patches can take time, making it more difficult to install critical updates on a rush. This is due to the fact that 0day may detect a fixed security vulnerability before a patch has been developed, meaning that it won’t be able to apply a patch in time. And while it does a good job of preventing the installation of malware on your computer, it can’t prevent the execution of malware that may already be installed.
Another part of the program is to prevent the disabling of relevant patches. In case you happen to accidentally disable a patch, it’s possible to log out and go back in without losing your settings. Of course, this may disrupt 0day’s process of installing patches, but in some cases this may not be an issue.
Basically, if you

What’s New in the?

2012 was the most problematic year for security threats for many reasons: more malware, bigger and more sophisticated, hard to detect as often as they’d like, and on top of all that: there were also more victims. Unsurprisingly, we all need to mitigate these threats. That’s where zero patch comes in. With great power…

The goal of zero patch is to manage a PC, build a sandbox on it to fix vulnerabilities before they’re exploited and upgrade your software accordingly. You don’t have to be a programmer to benefit from zero patch. We’ve created a tutorial for anyone, even those who have never touched it before, to follow along! If you’re worried about all the nitty gritty details, be sure to watch the video tutorial first.

Most of us have seen a lot of variation in software and driver updates over the years. Some of this variation is necessary; it’s often impossible to accurately predict how an application will behave as a service evolves. But certain software bugs that cause system vulnerabilities can arise unexpectedly. These types of problems are called…Augmented reality (AR) may be used to create a composite scene to which a user interface is added. The composite scene may include three-dimensional (3D) objects that are rendered in real time using three-dimensional graphics. A user may use the user interface to interact with an AR-enabled device or device system (e.g., glasses or a mobile phone) to navigate through the composite scene. The user interface may be represented as a three-dimensional object or model. For example, the AR user interface may be represented as a box overlaid on a real-world scene.Q:
